Didi Muchwa Mugisha, 28, the producer of the video pleaded guilty before a Kampala court on Thursday for producing and trafficking pornography, following the release of a pop music video which includes a singer writhing in her underwear naked.
President Yoweri Museveni signed the anti-pornography and dress code legislation into law in February, outlawing “provocative” clothing and banning scantily clad performers from television. While in court, Didi responded thus:
“I am so sorry that I got involved in that production,” he was quoted as saying. “I didn’t know about the law, I will never get involved in such work again.”
