People trying to use this ATM in Gillingham, Dorset, must have thought things were being taken to another level, however, when they found a huge snake slithering across the cash machine.
Juliet Medland, who photographed the bizarre scene outside the One Stop shop, said the staff in the shop were aware of the snake but no of them wanted to touch it.
She said: ‘I was going to take some cash out, but went round when I saw the snake, I don’t like them.’
The RSPCA were called who arrived and caught the animal before it could do any harm, or make a withdrawal.
Reptile expert Nick Wadham identified it as a Chocolate Banana King snake, which are non-venomous and native to California.
However he warned that the snake, which only eat rats, have very sharp teeth and ‘should be handled properly.’
He said: ‘It looks like a really nice, healthy specimen. Someone somewhere is missing their pet.’
Maybe he was just angry because the machine swallowed his card?
A snake withdrew cash at Barclays ATM Angwa Street in Harare and entered into the car.
It is understood that the snake withdrew the cash and got into an ex-Japanese car which was parked by the ATM.
