The ongoing paternity case of Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko and his ex-lover from Kwale, Ms. Josephine Thuku, took an interesting twist on Wednesday after the much anticipated DNA test revealed otherwise leaving Josephine in shock.
According to the DNA results signed by George Ogunda and which was presented before court, the flamboyant Senator is not the biological father of the boy Josephine claims he sired with her.
However, Thuku rejected the results of the DNA, saying Sonko may have doctored them because she was sure the Nairobi Senator is the man who got her pregnant while in college in 1999 and can’t confuse the paternity of her son.
The ex-lover had sued Sonko demanding sh140, 000 every month for the upkeep of two children she claims biologically belong to the Nairobi Senator.
After the shocking DNA results, Josephine begged Sonko to continue supporting her and the kids until the case is brought to a logical conclusion.
The Nairobi Senator has been maintaining Josephine and the two kids out of his good heart even though he knew deep down his heart that they were not his biological kids.
The new development now leaves the kids’ future hanging in the balance.
