The elite RECCE squad of GSU is the most respected unit of the police officers in Kenya right now having shown their heroics in the recent Garissa University terrorist attacks.

But have wondered how their own personal lives is?where do these guys get the motivation to do the good job in saving the lives of Kenyans? This must be a good case of a true calling from God to be a police officer.Unlike other police officers who spend most of their time soliciting bribes from poor Kenyans.

These group of men in uniform do their job diligently despite their poor pay and horrible working conditions.Looking at their payslip will make you even want to cry.According to human rights activist Bonface Mwangi,there is no point of Kenya buying expensive and sophisticated gadgets for use by the RECCE squad when they are paid peanuts.
