Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Friday toured Baringo County where he asked local communities to end cattle rustling.
Addressing a mammoth rally at Marigat, Raila, who is also the CORD leader, accused the Government of not protecting Baringo County residents who have been victims of cattle rustling for the last two years Jubilee Government has been in power.
Raila said the Jubilee Government has failed in its job of protecting Kenyans and that is why he is pushing for the Okoa Kenya referendum to address such issues.

Renowned ex-political adviser to CORD leader Raila Odinga, Miguna Miguna, has advised his former boss to ensure he wins the 2017 General Elections and be President by all means or else he will never become one.
Speaking on Jeff Koinange Live on KTN on Wednesday, Miguna, who is also a celebrated writer and a sworn enemy and critic of Raila, said the former PM has only one chance to be President, that’s in 2017, because he may never be there in 2022.
He said the former PM was growing old by the day and considering that he would be on the wrong side of 70 after 2017, he may die before 2022 due to old age and may never get that chance again.

2. Ruto’s name featured in the grabbing of Langata Primary School playground and the adjacent plot belonging to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) where Weston Hotel stands. He had no apologies.
3. Ruto had no apology to make over the tear gassing of school children.
4. Ruto’s was accused of grabbing the Kenya Pipeline land in Nairobi.
5. Ruto’s name featured in the grabbing of Prisons land in upper Hill area.
6. He featured in the grabbing of Processional Way in Nairobi. In all these, he has had no apologies to make.
The story of Kenya Pipeline land, like that of Adrian Muteshi’s, is particularly painful. It is a touching story of heartlessness. Mr Linus Cheruiyot, then the MD, who was forced to sign away the land, had to run away to the US where he lives on the edge today despite his sound education. He could not countenance the idea of going to jail over land that he was forced to sign away.
Today, Ruto’s name has featured in attempts to divert public money to build a private hospital.
And Ruto has the audacity to blame Raila Odinga for being mentioned in yet another scandal. Scandal is Ruto’s other name. We are shocked that Ruto thinks he has some credibility to protect.
Ruto knows he is deep in the scandal of the hospital. That is why he is talking of taking political war to Raila Odinga and saying nothing about corruption. Yet the issue here is an attempt to divert public funds and manipulate procurement rules for private gain.
Ruto knows he has deep ties to Mr Herbert Ojwang, the man who blew the whistle on him. There must be a reason Ruto is dodging Mr Ojwang and going for Raila. Ruto knows what Mr Ojwang knows.
William Ruto is an angry man. He is getting desperate. He wants to blame his and Jubilee’s problems on everyone except themselves. Two days ago, Jubilee senators blamed Prof Anyang Nyongo for the plans to upgrade MTRH. Yesterday, Ruto blamed Raila Odinga. The other day, Jubilee leaders were blaming newspapers for their woes.
Ruto has to realize that leadership involves taking responsibility for both the successes and failures of a nation. You cannot blame your opponent for ever. Ruto must know that his anger and thirst for revenge is bad for the country. He needs to take urgent lessons in anger management even if he chooses to retain his thirst for public resources.
Ruto must know that you cannot govern a nation through lies and distortions for five years. Ruto lied that Raila took him to The Hague. He has since changed and blamed Nancy Gitau, Francis Kimemia and Mutea Iringo, Gideon Moi and Isaac Ruto.
Kenyans will not allow Mr Ruto to use Raila for their problems. If you steal land, you must carry the cross. If you divert public funds to fight political battle with a woman who is in your Cabinet, you must bear the blame and shame. Ruto must bear the cross of his anger, recklessness and appetite for public goodies.

Nairobi County Assembly was last month treated to a rare spectacle, complete with comedy and action, after two female MCAs almost exchanged blows over the manner of sitting.
It all started after nominated MCA ,Leah Mumo, exposed her fundamendoz in the assembly with her ‘swaggerific’ style of sitting which left her legs wide open for everyone to see her hidden treasure.

“How I decide to sit is none of your business. I sit how I like, provided I’m comfortable. And if I am comfortable crossing my legs or having a little ventilation, that should not be your business,” Mumo fired back.
On the other hand, the male MCAs seemed to enjoy the sitting posture of magical Leah, who they have christened ‘First Lady’, because of her stylish dressing and did not complain at all.
However, things took another interesting turn after Leah requested to know if indeed Manyala resides in Westlands, prompting the Kayole South MCA to say that Mumo is a lesbian and could be out to woo her to go to bed with her.
“Why does she want to know where I stay? I cannot offer anything because I am not a lesbian,” said the visibly surprised Manyala, who later withdrew the statement after the Speaker intervened.

Ms Floviance Razan Owino (in photo), is a middle aged Kenyan woman who will be killed in China via lethal injection
next week over drug related charges.who was
arrested two years ago, will face the noose next week in a female prison in the
outskirts of Beijing.
Ms Owino, 28, a former second-hand
clothes dealer in Nairobi, went to her sister’s house one afternoon and left
her daughter there.
She told her that she was going to
China for business and she will be back after one week but she never came back.
“For the next few days, she could call,
saying she was with a friend only known by the name Sharon,” her sister told
journalists.
It is until last week that her family
received a phone call from China with the caller informing them that Miss Owino
was left with just a few days before she faces her ultimate death and that she
had been in custody for two good years.
The family is now appealing to
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, to help bring her back home
to serve her time her.
China and Kenya do not have a
prisoner-exchange agreement and we will wait to see how this goes down.

However, she notes,

The controversy surrounding the establishment of Bomet University
escalated further after elders in the County rejected President Uhuru
Kenyatta’s lease certificate to the university saying it was fake.
Speaking in Bomet yesterday, the elders
blasted Uhuru accusing him of duping Kalenjins with a land lease for the
establishment of the university which is fake, considering that it originated
from the Ministry of Finance instead of the Ministry of Lands, through the
National Land Commission (NLC), which is the only mandated body to issue land
leases.

Besides, the President should have

However, the elders blamed Deputy
President William Ruto and County MPs for duping the President to issue a fake
land lease for a university that does not exist just for political expediency.
“We condemn the whole charade by a
section of leaders who gave the President a false document. The title is
purportedly issued to Bomet University College, an institution that is
non-existent,” said William Kettienya.
The elders maintained that the President
should have consulted Governor Isaac Ruto before issuing such a certificate
saying they will not be party to such illegality.
“The leasor is in the dark and we
wonder how this was done. There is no land in Bomet town that matches the
hectares stated in the lease certificate,” Kettienya said.
