Raila's daughter,Rosemary odinga gave a moving speech in flawless Dholuo after which she switched to 'tweng free' English.

She urged CORD leaders to soften their hearts and stop giving ultimatums on their dialogue calls while saying that that is what Fidel wanted. "This is a message from my brother Fidel," She said.

She challenged the government to work towards leaving a legacy, a good legacy instead of stamping their chests that they are in power.

She concluded her powerful speech by singing Bob Marley's Redemption Song adding that Bob Marley was late Fidel's hero.

Even Dennis Itumbi(The State House Digital Communications Director) acknowledged that Rosemary's speech deserves a standing ovation. This is what Itumbi wrote on his Facebook account;

Many Kenyans thought that investigations were to prolong the burial of Fidel Odinga to even a month but that didn't happen. According to Siaya County Deputy Governor, Ouma Onyango, Raila told members of the Luo community to avoid holding bodies of their loved one for weeks and instead opt for a quick burial as he did with son Fidel Odinga.

The Luo are known for holding their loved ones’ bodies for months if not years and Raila said that culture must end and they embrace a more civilized culture.

“Raila proposed that we do not need to stay long with Fidel’s body and the same message is currently being passed among the Luo community to avoid holding bodies for long,” Ouma said.

“Bodies should not be kept for weeks. We should have a quick burial as possible,” Raila said.

FIDEL ODINGA'S CASKET SHOCKS LUO ELDERS AND BRINGS CONFUSION AMID BAD OMEN FEARS.....SEE WHAT HAPPENED IN BONDO!!

Drama and confusion ensued at Raila’s home in Bondo after Fidel's casket failed to fit into the door of a house where it was supposed to be kept for a short-time before public viewing.

Apparently, Luo culture dictates that the body must be kept in the house for some-time before members of the public are allowed to view it.

Several men tried to force it in as Luo elders watched in shock. They were heard shouting weird things as they sprinkled water on the casket.

According to the Luo culture, if a casket fails to fit through the door of the house where it's supposed to be kept before public viewing, it signifies a bad omen.

The casket was placed on a veranda as Luo elders surrounded it and continued sprinkling it with "special water".

Members of the public were then allowed to view it after some-time. Maybe the door was not built for that size of casket..

Our sources tells us that the President fumed when he saw Sonko arriving at Lee Funeral Home with a black chase car with a blaring siren, a black Hummer full of his security detail and a shiny golden SUV.

But what incensed the President more is to see Sonko’s bodyguards armed with high calibre rifles and exposing them to the public.

“The President called Sonko immediately and urged him to change his behaviour,” one source said.

Later President Uhuru Kenyatta summoned acting Inspector General of Police, Samuel Arachi, and ordered that disciplinary action be taken against the two police officers who displayed their guns in a funeral home.

The two were seen brandishing high calibre rifles as Sonko visited Lee Funeral Home on Tuesday.

Sonko is yet to comment on the issue.

Dr.Emily Regina the family pathologist of the Raila odinga family has moved to assure the former prime minister that even if the autopsy reports were not conclusive,she will do anything in her powers to make sure she finds out what really killed Fidel Odinga.She said that she will do more lab tests on his body;
Here is what she said;

Preliminary examination on Fidel’s remains could not conclusively show what killed him. Samples collected from his body will thus have to be taken for laboratory analysis. We call this examination toxicology and histology in the scientific language. We have taken a number of samples to establish cause of death. As of now, we have agreed nothing tangible was found to explain cause of death.

PRESIDENT UHURU KENYATTA'S MOTHER NGINA MOURNS HER SON!!!

Mama Ngina mourned the death of her adopted son, Peter Namuria Opeto, who was buried on Wednesday in Laikipia County.

Peter Namuria Opeto was adopted by the Kenyatta family way back in 1965 when the nation’s founding father was under house arrest in Lodwar.

The former first lady was accompanied by her two daughters, Jane and Christine to the burial the Mr. Peter Namuria at Lariak Scheme in Karandi, Laikipia County.
Mr. Namuria was a retired GSU officer who had risen to senior ranks upon his retirement. By the time of his death in late December 2014, Mr Namuria was practicing farming at Lariak scheme.

The deceased left behind a wife, Teresia Wangui Namuria, 11 children and 25 grandchildren.

"We are gathered here today in the memory of my brother, Fidel, so that together we may acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift that his life was, and the pain that his passing brings.

Fidel was more than just a brother to us. He was our protector, our unifier, a guiding light, family clown, and the disciplinarian when we were younger. If Fidel was not an Odinga, he would probably be a General in the Army. When we were kids he would make us stand at attention at the start of every news broadcast, (AD LIB) and make us march around the living room.

Fidel was dedicated to family, and had a special place in the hearts of his relatives. On the day of my wedding, he went to pick up Yvonne, and was insistent on in his words “not leaving without my brother’s wife”, despite the recalcitrance of the Kibukosyas and the Gachukias. Hid dedication to family even extended to him half-threatening a would-be boyfriend of his niece, Camille, further evidence of his being a family protector.

Through Fidel, we got to know a good number of our relatives, as he made a point of knowing all our cousins and relatives in Sakwa, Gem, and beyond.

To say that Fidel was a friend to many is an understatement. His diverse circle of friends enriched not just his life but also ours. We thank his friends for being his other families, and for the love and color you added to his life and ours.

Like most of us, Fidel was human and had his flaws. Indeed, we would be remiss if we portrayed him as a saint. One thing we can all agree on though, is that he had a big heart, at times to a fault.

The physical and emotional scars Fidel bore were a testimony to the fact that he loved life, and ate it with a big spoon. Be it from chasing Rosemary around the house in Kileleshwa and sliding into the glass door in the process, falling off the guava tree in Migori, and being rescued in the ambulance (which was a wheel-barrow) by Bill-o, to his later well documented escapades, Fidel only knew one speed.

Fidel was a trend-setter, as was evidenced by the fact that he was the only child in the family back in the 80s with a curly-kit. He was also the first kid in the neighborhood with a Chopper bicycle (with gears), and an Atari video-game. His love of toys and life tools extended to his adult life as evidenced by his passion for cars, watches, and as you now all know, licensed firearms.

Fidel was an avid Sports Fan, both Rugby and football, in particular the mighty Gor Mahia, and Arsenal. He would walk from the house to Nyayo Stadium when mum would refuse to drop him off, as she thought it would not be safe.

Lwam, thank you for being Fidel’s life, heart, soul, and strength. Thank you for continuing Fidels and the Odinga family line. Thank you for the being the light that you are. We will stand with you, and we will walk with you. We will forever nurture and protect his legacy in the person of his son, Allay Raila Odinga.

Fidel, you have left large shoes to fill, literally, but We promise to continue carrying the torch and finishing your race.
Hatari, Dinof, Man Gidi, Obange, Gagolo, Shatabdi… we will miss you. We will miss your big hugs. We will always love you.
