When the former Vice president lost his only sister through untimely death,family and friends trooped to the politician's home to condole with him but Mourners gathered at the burial of Kalonzo Musyoka’s sister, Lillian Koki, were left in shock after President Uhuru Kenyatta failed to send him a condolence message let alone attend the ceremony.
Many expected the President to offer emotional comfort to Kalonzo having lost his only sister but he gave the burial a wide berth.
Others expected that since Kalonzo has held high ranking positions in previous Governments, Uhuru would designate a Government official to pass his condolence message. But this never happened leaving locals wondering why the father of the nation didn’t attend the burial.
Sources within political circles intimate that Uhuru hates Kalonzo with a passion following the botched ICC (International Criminal Court) diplomacy debacle. He believes that Kalonzo wanted him jailed so that the CORD fraternity can take over leadership.
Other sources reveal that during the recent censure motion against Speaker Justin Muturi, Kalonzo had been approached by people close to the President to take up Muturi’s position in-case the censure motion succeeded.
