Classic 105 presenter, Maina Kageni, is without a doubt one of the most popular radio presenters in Kenya. This can be proved by the number of listeners who tune in to his morning show that he hosts alongside Mwalimu King’ang’i.
The hoarse voiced radio king is also an asset at Radio Africa and it has reached a point where he dictates his salary.
According to reliable sources, he is now earning Ksh 1.8 million per month. He was previously earning Ksh 1 million but his bosses decided to add him the extra Ksh 800,000 after Mediamax tried to poach him.
Other sources indicate that Mediamax is on a poaching spree at Radio Africa and Radio Jambo’s mid-morning presenters Gidi and Ghost are set to join Milele FM in a few month’s time.
Milele FM is owned by Mediamax and they are planning to poach half of Radio Jambo’s staff to boost their performance.
