A middle aged woman, who has accused Imenti Central MP, Gideon Mwiti, of raping her at his office has told journalists that she was forced to give the the first time lawmaker a b10w job before she was raped repeatedly.
Addressing journalists from her hospital bed at Nairobi Women’s Hospital, the woman who was accompanied by her lawyer, Harun Ndubi, said the MP forced her to do “many evil things” before he raped her repeatedly on the floor of his office. But speaking after recording a statement at Gigiri Police Station, the flamboyant MP denied these accusations saying he will sue the woman for defaming him. Mwiti even denied that he went to the office on Saturday night.
“My offices in Westlands are closed at 6 pm and I can’t access the office because the keys are with the people who open and close the office” Mwiti said. But a medical report from the Nairobi Women’s Hospital confirmed that the woman was indeed raped and she had soft tissue injuries on her cheeks and lips. Police are still investigating the incident.
