After the Mandera massacre,shocking reports have emerged that the police were informed about the attack as early as in mid-November.
According to the Kenyan post ,those who witnessed the massacre say that the Police and Immigration officials working in Mandera should take the blame for the two Al Shabaab attacks which have claimed the lives of 64 Kenyans in the last two weeks.
The source said police were informed of a secret meeting of a terror cell called “Salem Nabhan Brigade” named after a Kenyan reportedly killed in a raid carried by United States Navy Seals in 2009.
He said even locals have informed the police that terrorist leaders were meeting in Birta Deer village about i8 kilometers from the quarry where Kenyans were butchered like dogs.

Other sources said that terrorists have camped in Mandera town for four days to meet local informers who usually gave them information about potential targets.
Police and Immigration Officers were allegedly bribed with Sh 5 million by a powerful Al Shabaab member, who is extremely wealthy from his business of smuggling sugar and textiles from Somalia through the porous Kenyan border.
