Break through at last as police detectives have something to boast about when it comes to investigating the murder of the late Kabete MP George Muchai.Having received much banter from Kenyans for their sham investigations,police have arrested a suspect believed to be among those who assassinated the late Kabete MP, his two bodyguards and driver.
The suspect, a 40-year old resident of Limuru, was arrested in Kamandura in Limuru by detectives from Nairobi drawn from Flying Squad and CID, who alleged that they have crucial evidence that he was among the assassins who killed Muchai and his aides.
The place where the suspect was arrested is the same spot where the two carjacked women were abandoned and their car used for the killing of Muchai and bodyguards. The car was later recovered at Ndeiya, about four kilometres away.
The detectives are squeezing more information from the suspect that may lead to the arrest of all the other killers and their masters.
The police narrowed down on the suspect relying on preliminary results from the fingerprints found on the vehicle that was used for the attack, and the ballistic results from the spent cartridge recovered from the scene of crime.
He will have it rough really if he turns out to be the one...
