According to a senior police officer who could not be named due to the nature of the case, Muchai’s wife, Susan Muchai, is among those being looked at keenly in connection with the murder. Another police officer said Susan’s calm composure during the interview with the media on is an indication that she knew more about the killing.
The officer said the wife may have contracted and trailed the assassins silently to make sure the job was done and finished. Susan was traveling in a separate car with her daughter that was behind Muchai’s Toyota Fortuner. One of those stories that everybody prays it turns out to be false.
