Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday had an unpleasant exchange with Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale over the Garissa University College terror attack where 148 students were killed and 92 injured.

Speaking during a funds-drive in aid of women groups at Ikolomani Constituency in Kakamega County, Khalwale challenged Ruto, who was Chief Guest at the function, to resign for failing to protect the lives of Kenyans.The fiery Senator also said the opposition under the leadership of CORD leader, Raila Odinga, was capable of running a successful Government if given the chance. But when he took to the podium, Ruto who was aggrieved by Khalwale’s verbal diarrhoea rubbished his remarks saying that the Government was well on its course to deliver the promises it made to the people of Kenya.
Ruto also said the issue of insecurity is a responsibility of everyone and that all Kenyans must support the Government instead of engaging in endless blame games.
