So what is this about Mzee ojwang the veteran actor that nobody is willing to talk about?
Not long ago, the country was left in shock after it emerged that legendary actor, Mzee Ojwang, popular for his role on KBC’s Vitimbi programme, was living under abject poverty.
The witty actor had even become partially blind due to lack of proper medical attention but philanthropic Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko, came to his rescue before the situation became worse.
But even though many people have been blaming the Government for neglecting the 77 year old actor, it has now emerged that he is the cause of his own problems.
During his energetic years, Ojwang spent most of his time in clubs enjoying alcohol with women. He could sip his favourite drink surrounded by a bevy of beauties like a real super-star.
After-all, he was the talk of town and at the top of his career. Instead of investing his money for the future, Ojwang wasted it all in alcohol and women.
When old age knocked in, he had not invested and that’s why he has been wallowing in poverty.
He has no source of income and only depends on hand-outs from well wishers.
As long as people blame the Government for Ojwang’s plight, he is also part of his own problems.
